Star Business Report

The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC) Bangladesh has been named the country’s best cash management bank for the 17th consecutive year, topping all three subcategories -- products, technology and client service -- in the Euromoney Cash Management Survey 2026.

The bank was also ranked first globally and in Asia in the survey, which is based on more than 7,500 client votes and is billed as the world’s largest treasury survey, it said in a press statement issued yesterday.

HSBC said it improved its position across every region in this year’s survey and was ranked number one in Asia, reinforcing its position as a leading cash management provider for businesses operating across markets.

According to the press statement, the recognition reflects HSBC’s continued focus on delivering high-quality cash management solutions, combining global connectivity, technology and client service to help businesses manage their payments, collections, liquidity and working capital more effectively.

The bank said the recognition is a proud moment for it and reflects the confidence clients place in the bank’s ability to support their evolving treasury and cash management needs.

Through technology-enabled solutions and a connected global network, HSBC helps clients achieve more seamless collections and payments, greater visibility over their cash and stronger liquidity management across markets, it added.

“Earning the top spot in cash management for 17 straight years is a proud milestone, but the real honour is the enduring trust our customers place in us. Winning across Products, Technology and Client Service drives us to keep raising the standards for our business every day,” said Md Mahbub ur Rahman, chief executive officer, HSBC Bangladesh.

Newaz Musharraf, head of Global Payments Services at HSBC Bangladesh, said, “Winning Bangladesh’s Best Cash Management Bank is meaningful -- and it recognises how we are empowering our clients in Bangladesh through smoother collections and payments, clearer cash visibility and stronger controls as they manage local operations and cross-border payments.”

He added that the bank would continue investing in secure, reliable digital capabilities to help corporate treasurers manage operations amid fast-moving markets.

The Euromoney Cash Management Survey is considered a key benchmark of corporate treasury sentiment, gauging cash management providers on products, technology and service quality.

HSBC, the founding member of the HSBC Group, operates in 56 countries and territories and had assets of $3,438 billion as of 30 June 2026.
