The country’s first ever metro rail will go on its commercial operation in the Uttara-Agargaon section on December 16 -- the Victory Day -- next year.

Eight owners and companies have shown interest to run 157 buses on the route from Ghatarchar to Kanchpur on a pilot basis which is scheduled to be inaugurated from December 26.
