Rajshahi Stars suffered their second successive defeat in the preliminary stage of the AFC Women’s Champions League, losing 2-1 to hosts Sabah FC of Malaysia in their second Group A match in Kota Kinabalu on Thursday.

The Bangladesh star twice threaten in the first half, but Jurong goalkeeper Hazel Lim denied her headers in the 12th and 21st minutes.

National-player-studded Rajshahi, who leave for Malaysia this morning, have been drawn with India's East Bengal FC, Malaysia's Sabah FC and Guam's Rovers FC.

Rajshahi Stars will take on East Bengal on August 17 before facing Rovers and Sabah on August 20 and 23 respectively.

Afeida and Sapna will feature for RTC Women -- the only Bhutanese club in the upcoming AFC Women's Champions League.
