A two-day photo exhibition highlighting the lives, livelihoods and resilience of indigenous communities in the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) was inaugurated at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy today.

Titled “Benuka: Rage, Sure, Shrutir Nibirataye Kazi Nazrul Islam”, the programme was organised under the patronage of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs as part of efforts to introduce Nazrul’s creative legacy to a younger generation.

Through workshops, vinyl sets, live performances, and audio-reactive visuals, the event pushed electronic music beyond its niche into a broader cultural conversation.

To bring together the sounds of modern urban life, technology and creativity, the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy is organising an event titled "Notun Shobdo: Electronic Music Workshop and Stage Performance”.

The Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy is set to organise a two-day music festival in Dhaka to celebrate World Music Day.

The documentary “Ektarar Imam”, based on the life and legacy of mystic bard Ukil Munshi, was screened at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy yesterday, marking the 141st anniversary of his birth.
