Brendan Taylor replaced India great Sachin Tendulkar as the longest-serving one-day international player on Tuesday after the Zimbabwe veteran took the field for the series opener against Australia in Harare.

Former Zimbabwe captain Brendan Taylor top-scored in his first Test match after a lengthy ban but could not prevent New Zealand dominating the first day of the second Test on Thursday.

Taylor, 39, debuted in May 2004 against Sri Lanka.
