The play, directed by Nasir Uddin Yousuff, was staged on the final day of Dhaka Theatre and Bangladesh Graam Theatre’s programme celebrating the renowned playwright Selim Al Deen’s 77th birth anniversary at the National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.

The play "Prachya" will start staging at 8pm instead of 7pm. The news was confirmed by one of the founders of the group, Freedom Fighter and eminent cultural personality Nasir Uddin Yusuff, to The Daily Star.

The celebration will be graced by noted cultural personalities including the likes of – Ramendu Majumdar, Ferdousi Mazumder, Mamunur Rashid, M Hamid and Syed Salauddin Zaki. Besides that, an art exhibition on Orientalism and Dualism will be opened from 5:30pm and the play “Prachyo” will be staged at 7 pm.

“Operation Jackpot”, the film with the budget of BDT 23,23,35,000, was initially finalised under the banner of Ashirbad Films. Primarily, it was supposed to be directed by National Film Award winning filmmaker, Gias Uddin Selim.
