A Dhaka court yesterday ordered authorities to take steps to get an arrest warrant issued through Interpol against Saima Wazed Putul, daughter of ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina, in connection with charges of irregularities in plot allocation in Purbachal New Town.

The Anti-Corruption Commission yesterday filed two cases against Saima Wazed Putul, daughter of ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina, multiple ACC sources confirmed.

The balance in the accounts is Tk 48.35 crore

The non-profit organisation was established by Sheikh Hasina's daughter Saima Wazed Putul

The ACC found preliminary evidence that since 2016, the foundation had been exempted from paying income tax

The letter claims that Putul's credentials were fabricated and purely formal

Ministry of Foreign Affairs may request WHO to take action against Putul based on the ACC findings
