While the rest of the nation celebrates Eid with family and loved ones, the Bangladesh national football team is busy sweating it out on the training pitch.

A day after Bangladesh Football Federation unveiled new head coach Thomas Dooley in a dramatic fashion, Aminul Haque, the State Minister for Youth and Sports, has claimed that a contract with the German-born American has not been finalised yet.

The Bangladesh Football Federation had promised a transparent, exhaustive and perhaps even revolutionary search for the next head coach of the national team.

Thomas Dooley, a formed captain of USA national team and coach of Philippines and Guyana, has been appointed as the head coach of Bangladesh national team.

Newly-appointed Bangladesh national football team coach Thomas Dooley has set his sights on improving the country’s FIFA ranking and taking the side inside the top 160.

In a press release, the BFF stated: “We look forward to appointing Thomas Dooley as the new head coach of the Bangladesh men’s national team.”
