Govt must enforce the transport act, make roads safer

Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) yesterday expressed deep concern over the government move to amend the Road Transport Act-2018 amid pressure from transport owners and workers’ associations.

The government is taking time to make the Road Transport Act-2018 effective as it faces “pressure” from the transport leaders to change some of its provisions, officials said.
