Rows of floating beds stretch across waterlogged farmland in Pirojpur’s Nazirpur upazila. Made from water hyacinth and other aquatic plants, the beds allow farmers to grow vegetables and seedlings despite prolonged waterlogging. The environment-friendly method has helped boost farmers’ incomes, while their produce and seedlings are supplied to different parts of the country. The photo was taken recently. PHOTO: MEHEDI HASAN
