Around 300 farmers block the Rajshahi-Dhaka highway in the Baneshwar Bazar area of Puthia, Rajshahi, yesterday, demanding adequate fertiliser supplies and an end to a retail market syndicate. Officials of Sammilito Islami Bank put money into bags for storage in lockers before distributing it to depositors at the bank’s Motijheel branch yesterday.
