Latest episode of ‘Ityadi’ heads to Jamalpur
The latest episode of the popular magazine programme “Ityadi” has been recorded in Jamalpur, a picturesque border district known for its scenic beauty, with the Meghalaya hills visible in the distance.
The episode will be aired on Bangladesh Television on Friday (September 25) at 8 pm, following the Bangla news bulletin.
The episode has been written, directed and presented by Hanif Sanket.
This episode features two different songs. One has been performed by popular singers Pantha Kanai and Tosiba Begum.
The lyrics were written by Liton Adhikary Rintu, while Suman Kalyan composed and arranged the song.
As always, the programme also features a song-and-dance segment introducing the district. Mizan Mahmud Rajib and Shithi Saha have lent their voices to the duet. Written by Moniruzzaman Palash, the song has been composed and arranged by Ujjal Sinha. Choreographed by SK Zahid, the performance features local Bengali and Garo dancers, bringing the stage to life.
Four audience members were selected through a quiz based on Jamalpur. In the second segment, the selected participants performed excerpts from four timeless songs by four celebrated cultural figures from Jamalpur.
As in previous episodes, “Ityadi” will also feature several informative and heartwarming reports. Special reports will focus on Jamalpur’s unique economic and cultural symbol, nakshi kantha, and its traditional dish, milli or pithali. Another report presents a fact-based account of the district’s history, heritage and archaeological treasures.
The episode will also feature an inspiring human-interest report on the struggles of Ferdous Hasan Bappi and Osnai Khatun, a couple who overcame physical disabilities and became self-reliant through their own hard work.
The foreign report segment will feature the picturesque Chinese city of Suzhou, highlighting its remarkable blend of ancient heritage and modern technology.
The episode will also include a lively conversation between Kashem TV’s reporter and his grandson. Alongside the regular letter segment, the programme will feature its usual array of other attractions.
