Govt launches nationwide catch-up measles-rubella vaccination campaign

The government today launched a nationwide intensified catch-up measles-rubella vaccination campaign to bring all unvaccinated children aged six to 59 months under vaccination coverage.
Health Minister Sardar Md Sakhawat Husain inaugurated the programme at the TNT playground in Mohakhali.
The campaign aims to cover an estimated 34 lakh children in the age group and will continue until October 31.
The Expanded Programme on Immunisation (EPI) under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on September 13 asked all field-level offices to provide, within three days, the number of children aged six to 59 months who were missed in the measles vaccination drive.
