Tigresses to face China in friendly today
Bangladesh women's cricket team will play a friendly match against China on Saturday after the hosts requested the game.
Bangladesh had earlier advanced to the semifinals of the Asian Games on the basis of their higher ranking after their quarterfinal against China was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
"They have requested us to play a friendly match and we will play the match tomorrow," Bangladesh team manager S M Golam Faiyaz told The Daily Star on Friday.
Bangladesh will face India in their semifinal on Sunday. India booked their place in the last four on Friday with an eight-wicket win over hosts Japan.
Pakistan and Sri Lanka will contest the other semifinal on Sunday.
