‘Daredevil: Born Again’ to end with third season

Marvel’s “Daredevil: Born Again” will conclude with its upcoming third season on Disney+, according to Variety.

The third and final season of the series, starring Charlie Cox as blind lawyer-turned-vigilante Matt Murdock, completed production a few months ago and is expected to premiere on Disney+ in 2027. Co-creator and showrunner Dario Scardapane has also exited the project, which is currently in post-production.

Cox first played Daredevil in Netflix’s “Daredevil”, which ran for three seasons from 2015 to 2018. The series launched Marvel’s street-level superhero universe on the streaming platform and later led to spin-offs including “Jessica Jones”, “Luke Cage” and “Iron Fist”, before culminating in the crossover series “The Defenders”.

Disney+ revived the franchise in 2025 with “Daredevil: Born Again”, bringing back several original cast members, including Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin; Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page; Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson; and Wilson Bethel as Bullseye.

The second season expanded the return of Netflix’s “Defenders” characters, featuring Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones in a supporting role. Mike Colter also appeared in the finale as Luke Cage.

During production of the third season, leaked set photos showed Finn Jones returning as Danny Rand, also known as Iron Fist, alongside Ritter and Colter. The characters are expected to reunite as they face Kingpin, who has lost his position as New York City mayor.

Meanwhile, Daredevil’s situation has become increasingly complicated following the second season finale, with Matt Murdock imprisoned and his secret identity revealed.
