IFIC Bank to provide auto loans to BYD buyers

IFIC Bank PLC has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with BYD Bangladesh, an electric vehicle dealer in Dhaka and a business unit of CG Runner BD Limited, aimed at making auto loan facilities easier and more convenient for customers purchasing BYD vehicles.

Helal Ahmed, chief of branch business at the bank, and Amid Sakif Khan, managing director of CG Runner BD Limited, signed the MoU at a ceremony held in Dhaka recently, according to a press release.

Under the MoU, IFIC Bank customers purchasing BYD vehicles through authorised dealer partners of CG Runner BD Limited will receive priority and expedited auto loan processing services.

In addition, during the campaign period, customers will enjoy a zero-percent loan processing fee, while eligible auto loan customers will also be able to avail themselves of IFIC Bank credit card facilities without any issuance fee.

Furthermore, alongside special benefits and offers provided by BYD Bangladesh from time to time, customers will receive a six-year vehicle warranty and an eight-year warranty on the motor and motor controller.

Fariha Haider, head of SME and retail banking at IFIC Bank; Methun Bhattacharjee, head of business development at CG Runner BD Limited; and Fahmid Ferdous Pulok, head of sales, along with other senior officials from both organisations, were also present.
