A group of young, enthusiastic, and kind youngsters preparing to feed stray dogs near the capital’s Dhanmondi Lake -- this is what I was welcomed to when I decided to join Feed Doggo Fridays on a fine summer morning earlier this month.

Exiting Uttara, especially now with all the chaos of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) construction happening around the airport area, is indeed a test of patience.

The footpath for that lunchtime becomes the poor people’s “Bhalo Kajer Hotel”, an eatery that is running with the dictum that the poor and homeless would get a free meal in exchange for performing a good deed a day.
